Erling Haaland's agent Rafaela Pimenta has confirmed her client will be remaining at Manchester City next season in a blow to Arsenal's Premier League title hopes.

In the past two seasons, the Gunners have finished runners-up to City in the race for the title. In 2022/23, Haaland scored a whopping 36 goals in 35 appearances in the top flight as Pep Guardiola's side eventually ran away with the title after Arsenal had led the way for most of the season.

During the 2023/24 campaign, Haaland was less prolific but still managed 27 goals in 31 Premier League appearances to win his second Golden Boot since moving to England. Arsenal did take the title race down to the last day of the season though and will be hopeful they can put up a decent challenge in 2024/25.

However, in an interview with Flashscore, Pimenta has insisted that Haaland will not be leaving City this summer. "I don't know [if he is a one-club man], but I think the Erling Haaland project will last over time, over the next few years," she explained.

"It will also depend on trends in football. In any case, one thing is certain today: Erling Haaland feels at home at Manchester City!

"He is 1000 per cent committed to the City project and is already looking forward to the new season with the club." Real Madrid was linked heavily with a move for Haaland when he joined City in 2022 but their hopes of signing the Norwegian have since taken a backseat.

This summer, Los Blancos signed Kylian Mbappe and would be unable to afford a move for Haaland too. Now there are even fewer clubs available who could prise him away from City so it appears the striker could be at the Etihad Stadium for the foreseeable.
