MEMPHIS, Tenn. - If you're traveling along Highway 64 this week, expect more law enforcement out patrolling.

Multiple law enforcement agencies across Tennessee are coming together for the "No More on 64" traffic campaign.

Its goal? To lower fatal crashes during the Fourth of July holiday.

The campaign aims to use 64 hours of elevated traffic enforcement along the 404 miles of U.S. 64 from Memphis to the North Carolina border. Several law enforcement agencies in Tennessee are participating in this effort, including the Tennessee Highway Safety Office, Tennessee Highway Patrol, sheriff's offices in Shelby and Fayette counties and the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

The 64-hour traffic campaign starts at 8 a.m. July 5, 2024.
