Nicole Kidman’s estranged eldest daughter has shared a rare social media update days after her half sibling Sunday Rose Kidman Urban made her public debut at Paris Fashion Week.
Nicole Kidman’s eldest daughter Bella Kidman Cruise has returned to social media and shared a rare insight into her life amid her ongoing estrangement from the Aussie Oscar winner.
The fiercely private daughter of Kidman and Tom Cruise posted a series of Instagram stories on Monday, just days after her world-famous mother stepped out with her half sibling Sunday Rose Urban in Paris.
Bella, 32, posted an image of herself and her three friends as they attended the recent 2024 Glastonbury festival.
“The best,” she captioned one post.
The London-based artist was adopted in 1992 by Tom and then-wife Nicole but lives a private life away from the spotlight and is seldom seen publicly with either of her parents.
Nicole and Tom divorced in 2001 following an 11-year marriage and were given joint custody of Bella and her younger brother Connor.
However, the adopted children, who are devout Scientologists like Tom, opted to live with their father.
Kidman has not been photographed with her two elder children in more than 15 years and typically declines to discuss them in interviews out of respect of their religious beliefs.
Nicole was reportedly devastated after the pair didn't attend her father's funeral in 2014, while the Aussie star was not invited to either Bella or Connor’s weddings.
In 2018, Kidman made a rare statement about her relationship with her elder children.
“I’m very private about all that. I have to protect all those relationships. I know 150 per cent that I would give up my life for my children because it’s what my purpose is,” she told Who magazine.
“They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it’s my job to love them,” she said, adding that Connor and Isabella are “adults.”
While Tom and his two eldest children are all devout Scientologists, Nicole is a Roman Catholic and has publicly distanced herself from the church.
Bella’s Glastonbury posts come days after Nicole appeared on the front row of the Balenciaga fashion show with her half-sibling Sunday Rose Kidman Urban.
Sunday Rose and her sister Faith Margaret are Kidman’s daughters from her current marriage to Keith Urban and the family split their time between Nashville and Sydney.
Meanwhile, Suri Cruise, Tom’s other daughter from his marriage to Katie Holmes, is estranged from the Mission Impossible star after Holmes was granted primary custody in their 2012 divorce.
