….Says He Meant Well For Bayelsa State

ABUJA – Bayelsa All Progressives Congress (APC) South South Caucasus on Friday commended the former governor of Bayelsa, Chief Timipre Sylva political prowess and pedigree.

The group, which said the former Minister of State for Petroleum meant well for the state, added that he’s one of the people from Bayelsa State, who cannot be forgotten in a hurry.

The group, in a statement in Abuja by the National President of Niger Delta Media Activist Group, Chief Izzi Yakia, stated that he is one person who can be counted on for the good deeds and achievement of his administration.

The Caucus noted that twelve years down the line, his track record remain unbeaten till date.

The Caucus described Sylva an astute legislator and global business mogul, a rare breed of leader, who gave Bayelsa people 18 hours daily power supply during his reign.

“He opted to increase power supply between 20-24 hours when he bought more gas-turbines to actualize that plan before he was ousted out of office by the powers that be, then.

“His Excellency Chief Timipre Sylva constructed well over 50 internal roads in Yenagoa using asphalt and not concrete as it is been done today.

“In other to harness the potential in the blue economy sector, Sylva bought several fishing trollies to scale up SME activities in the state.

“His Excellency, Chief Timipre Sylva is a jolly good fellow, who meant well for his people and the national at large looking at his contribution while in various public offices,” the Caucus said.

The group therefore called on corporate entities/well-meaning citizens in the country to celebrate the Former Governor of Bayelsa State, Former Minister of State for Petroleum, an astute legislator and an international business magnate, His Excellency Chief Timipre Marlin Sylva as he turns 60 July 7th 2024.
