Swollen rivers, inundated roads, and flooded streets—monsoon is wreaking havoc in many parts of India. In Assam, floods have affected over 6 lakh people across 19 districts, with at least eight rivers flowing above the danger mark after days of torrential rainfall. The Brahmaputra is flowing much above the danger mark, raising concerns among residents. In Gujarat, Junagadh district is reeling under nature's fury, and torrential rains in Valsad have led to massive traffic disruptions as an underpass submerged in water. Ranchi in Jharkhand is also battling monsoon mayhem, with the city waterlogged after heavy downpours. The Met Department has issued alerts for severely affected areas. Monsoon has swept through most parts of India, bringing many cities to their knees. The rains have already caused significant disruptions and raised alarms about further damage and safety concerns in the affected regions.
