Records show Greenville man jailed after robbing victim with gun
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Court records from an Eastern Carolina courthouse say two men worked together, stealing a phone from the victim Sunday.
Court documents show that Ja’von Evans is facing multiple charges, including robbery with a dangerous weapon, first-degree kidnapping, and two felony counts of conspiracy.
Records show that 18-year-old Evans and another man, Yaushen Dade-El, threatened and robbed Tyion Harrell with a handgun, taking an Apple iPhone on Sunday.
Officials say the iPhone was worth $750.
The court documents say Harrell was held captive during the robbery and not released in a safe place.
Records show Evans was arrested by the Greenville Police Department Tuesday and put in the Pitt County jail under a $10,000 bond.
WITN is working to get more details surrounding the arrest.
