On Thursday, June 20, Western Wyoming Community College's Aquatic Center played a crucial role in The World's Largest Swimming Lesson (WLSL), emphasizing the significance of water safety. Global Participation Last Thursday, countless individuals, adults, and children worldwide gathered at aquatic facilities to mark the 15th annual event. According to statistics, drowning ranks among the top five causes of unintentional death from birth through age 54. International Impact The WLSL spanned 24 hours, featuring numerous aquatic centers, swim schools, and water parks across the US and 53 other nations on six continents. This initiative serves as a collaborative platform for the global aquatics industry to emphasize the essential nature of teaching youngsters how to swim to reduce drowning incidents.
