Bruno Fernandes has been nominated for April's Premier League Player of the Month award.

The Reds captain scored six top-flight goals last month, including braces against Bournemouth and Sheffield United, also registering one assist.

It wasn't a perfect month for United, as we won one, drew three and lost one of our five fixtures in the division.

But Bruno was on the ball, heading home at Chelsea and then, three days later, equalising against Liverpool with an incredible lob from 45 yards out.

The Portuguese's good form continued on the south coast, as he netted in each half at the Vitality Stadium in our 2-2 draw with the Cherries.

After playing his part in the dramatic Emirates FA Cup semi-final victory over Coventry City, Bruno then picked up where he left off in the league, when we hosted Sheffield United.

Another penalty was followed by an unstoppable effort, as United saw off the Blades, and our no.8 added a late assist for good measure when setting up Rasmus Hojlund.

Bruno, who is also one of three contenders for the club's Player of the Month prize, is up against five competitors, as he bids to win for the fifth time.

Cole Palmer, with seven goals, was the only player to outscore Bruno during April, while Crystal Palace's Jean-Philippe Mateta and Arsenal's Kai Havertz netted five and four times respectively.

At the other end of the pitch, Jordan Pickford is recognised for his efforts in maintaining Everton's top-flight status, as he kept four clean sheets, while Manchester City defender Josko Gvardiol scored twice as Pep Guardiola's side won all five of their games.
