Matawalle Says As He Criticises Marafa, “For How Long Does The North Play Such Primitive Politics?”

Bello Matawalle, the current Minister of State for Defence and the former governor of Zamfara State, has criticised Mr. Kabiru Garba Marafa, a fellow Northern political leader, for criticising Bola Tinubu’s led government. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

He has demanded to know how long the northern region will continue to engage in what he called “primitive politics.” The former governor of Zamfara State reportedly disclosed this information in a statement issued by his media consultant, Deyemi Saka, according to Sahara Reporters. He continued to criticise Mr. Marafa, saying that because Tinubu is not from the north, many in the north who remained silent throughout former President Buhari’s administration have suddenly found a voice.

It should be that Mr. Mustafa, a Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC and a former lawmaker, recently responded to a statement that was made by Bello Matawalle, against the Northern Elders Forum, NEF.

Speaking further, the Minister made it known to Marafa that the northern region alone did not make President Tinubu the country’s president, stating it clearly that no single region can make anyone president.

Some parts of the statement read: “It is highly hypocrital that many who either lost their voice or never had it in the eight years of Muhammadu Buhari’s presidency, which never dignified the live of an average northerner or interested in improving their lives through purposeful and productive leadership, are now blasting like a hot furnace because the present occupier of the highest office of the land is not from their region? For how long does the North play such primitive politics?”

In addition, the former Zamfara State Governor made it known that any good student of history will never take the recent statement that was made by Marafa seriously, noting that Nigerians witnessed how Marafa denied APC, the governorship of Zamfara State in 2019, due to his personal ambition.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
