…Solicits Collaboration in Nigeria Census exercise

The Honourable Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission representing Delta State, Hon. Mrs. Blessyn Brume-Ataguba, has solicited the cooperation of the Delta State-owned Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri ahead of the anticipated National Census and other activities of the National Population Commission, stressing that she was in the station to seek the collaboration of the station for mutual benefits for all stakeholders.

She stated this during her courtesy visit to the Board and Management of Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS) Warri, where she and her team where received by the Chairman of the Board of DBS, Elegbete Barr Moses Odibo, and Manager of the Station, Pastor Malcolm Oteri.

During the visit, Hon Mrs Blessyn Brume-Ataguba, daughter of the Late Senator Aghogho Fred Brume highlighted some of the commission’s activities, such as the forth coming Census program awaiting the President proclamation and the current VRD survey intervention exercise, which is a UNICEF-funded program aimed at boosting vital registration of children between zero to 5 years old.

The visit was necessitated on the need for both government agency’s to build synergy and collaboration in bringing vital information of the commission to the Delta State populace.

Receiving the Federal Commissioner, Elegbete Moses Odibo thanked Hon Mrs Blessyn Brume-Ataguba for the visit, stressing that her coming was germane to a strategic and fruitful collaboration between the Station the NPC, assuring that DRTV was determined to partner with the National Population Commission in ensuring activities of the Commission where properly generated and transmitted to all Deltans and beyond for adequate sensitization of the populace in order to derive support cooperation from the people.

Present at the meeting where Pastor Malcom Oteri, General Manager (DBS, Warri), Hon. Excel Okodaso, Mrs. Augusta Okoro – Financial Secretary, Wilson Onose – Head of Administration, Gabriel Regha – Board Secretary and Becky Ebojoh – Head Public Relations.

On the entourage of the Commissioner were Mr. Sylvester Evuarherhe, HOD Technical Department, NPC Delta State, Mr. Ontario O. Clement, Warri South Controller, NPC Delta State and others.

Meanwhile, the Honourable Commissioner, Hon Mrs Blessyn Brume-Ataguba has assured the Udu people of Delta State of the necessary support at any given time within her powers, noting that she was in office to build on the legacies of her late father in promoting the wellbeing of the people in any way possible.

She spoke when members of the Ufuoma-Udu Association paid her a courtesy visit at her Mercy Havens, DSC Township, Orhuwhorun, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.

Addressing the visiting Ufuoma-Udu members, the Honourable Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission (NPC) Delta State, commended the respected Udu leaders for the visit, soliciting their support through wise counsel and guidance so she could deliver on her mandate of being in charge of the National Population Commission in Delta State.

She promised never to let Udu down as she was prepared to build on the legacies of patriotism, excellence and incredible service deliveries for which her late father was known.

President of Ufuoma-Udu Association, Chief Luke Djebah, in his remarks, congratulated Hon Mrs Blessyn Brume Ataguba for landing the plum job of a honourable federal commissioner, noting that she has done Udu proud by her new national assignment.

Chief Djebah disclosed that the entire Udu was filled with joy on her appointment hence the visit by the august body to congratulate and felicitate with her on her appointment.
