A 15-year-old student and orphan,Blaise Felix Aliyu, tragically lost his life due to punishment administered by two senior students.

The incident, which occurred on June 19, 2024, has prompted swift action from the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).

Aliyu, who attended the military boarding school alongside his twin brother, was reportedly summoned by two SS3 students under the guise of disciplinary action. However, the situation escalated, resulting in his untimely death. His body has been placed in the mortuary pending further investigation.

Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, spokesperson for the NAF, expressed deep sorrow over the incident, emphasising that the Chief of the Air Staff and the entire NAF community are devastated by the loss.

Gabkwet assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway to uncover the circumstances surrounding Aliyu’s death.

“To prevent any speculation, a comprehensive investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances, reasons, and actual events that led to the victim’s death,” Gabkwet stated.

The NAF is committed to resolving the matter urgently and ensuring justice for Aliyu and his family.
