Initially receiving three petitions, the committee extended the submission window, resulting in three more petitions being sent through representatives.

“We told them, we’re going to be there on Sunday, until four o’clock on Tuesday and we did and in the process, we received three petitions. Thereafter, we once again formed the aspirants that will leave for Abuja. Before rendering our reports, we’re still ready to receive petitions from other members before we left, the headquarters of the party.

“Three aspirants now sent in their petitions through representatives. We returned here we informed them that in strict adherence to the requirements of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria until 99, as amended. We were willing to go the extra mile of giving them an opportunity of being heard, to adopt their petitions and give us additional information. Or additional evidence, if any.

“We should do that meeting for last Friday, the 26th at the headquarters of the party here while here, three of the petitioners team the in the adopted petitions.

“We asked them for documentary evidence or electronic evidence is in line with the dictates of the times and the best we’re able to receive was a compendium of some alleged members of the party that was sponsored by one of the aspirants for the five delegates elections that we received. We had to give them all yours, we gave them time.

In his response, National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Abdulahi Ganduje, said Both documents will be presented to the National Working Committee and then after the resolution, the National working code for the conduct of the election.

“We saw mass participation of our members. That is why the state chapter decided to choose direct primary election so that all financial members were given an opportunity to participate in choosing a candidate that was so happy with the exercise,” he said.

Ganduje expressed satisfaction with the direct primary format, allowing all financial members to participate. He expressed confidence in the chosen candidate, a former Ondo deputy governor vying for the gubernatorial position.
