Agra Weather: Heavy Rains Bring Respite From Scorching Heat, More Showers Expected Till Sunday; Orange Alert Issued

Agra Weather: The south-west monsoon has approached Uttar Pradesh from the east, via Bihar. The monsoon may become active in most portions of eastern Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow, and some regions of western Uttar Pradesh within the following two days. With the monsoon getting active in the state, heavy rains have begun in many regions including Agra.

The city has been receiving rains since Saturday morning with heavy showers lashing Agra after 10 AM. There is a good chance of rainfall in the city on Sunday, June 30.

The weather department has issued an orange alert on June 29 and June 30 for heavy rains during this period.

As far as the temperature is concerned, the city saw a decrease in the maximum temperature following the heavy rain. The maximum temperature on Friday was recorded at 32.5 and the minimum temperature was 25.3 degrees Celsius.

15 Dead In UP Due To Lightning And Electrocution

Meanwhile, up to 15 individuals died throughout the state as a result of lightning, electric shock, or drowning, and two women were burned by lightning. Lightning caused three deaths in Hamirpur, two in Mahoba, and one each in Maharajganj, Badaun Barabanki, Sitapur, Sonbhadra, Ghazipur, Mau, and Chandauli. One youngster died from an electric shock in Hapur, while another drowned in Moradabad.
