NAKOSS Senate Affirms Confidence in Senate President, Dismisses Misleading Publication

kogireports.com 2024/10/6

The Senate Arm of the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) has been made aware of a fraudulent publication allegedly signed by three members of the senate and one other individual currently under suspension due to forgery of the Senate President’s signature, claiming to have passed a vote of no confidence in the Senate President. We categorically declare that this publication is null and void, as these individuals lack the authority to make such decisions.

We urge the public to disregard this misleading statement and assure that the Senate Arm of NAKOSS will exercise its constitutional powers to discipline any member involved in this false and mischievous act.

In a unanimous decision, we pass a vote of confidence in Senate President Jamiu Muhammed Omeiza, reaffirming his mandate to lead the student body. We reject all allegations of misconduct and affirm our trust in his leadership.

This vote of confidence is a testament to the Senate President’s dedication to student welfare and his ability to unite the organization despite attempts to undermine his authority.

The Senate Arm of NAKOSS will convene a Senate Sitting soon to investigate the conduct of officials and the affairs of the association since the current leadership took office.

Thank you.
