UP Rains: As heavy rain lashed parts of Uttar Pradesh, train services were affected between Bareilly-Pilibhit stations after the wall of an underpass on the railway line, going to Bareilly, collapsed. Therefore train services on this route have been stopped as of now.

Train services on the Pilibhit-Shahjahanpur route have also been cancelled. Technicians of the Railways have reached the scene and are inspecting the lines.

The Bareilly road has been already flooded by waters from the Devha river, due to which, a wall of the underpass near the Jahanabad crossing on the railway line going to Bareilly collapsed.

Moreover, the incident has also affected train services between Pilibhit and Tanakpur. Flood waters continue to drench this rail route for the second consecutive day.

According to Rajendra Singh, Public Relations Officer for Northeast Railway Izzatnagar Division, a wall at level crossing number 204 on the Bareilly railway section has fallen. After obtaining the information, railway technicians arrived at the site. "Following inspection, a decision on train operation will be made based on the technician's report," he said.

Rajendra Singh said that for the time being the operation of trains between Pilibhit-Shahjahanpur and Pilibhit-Bareilly has been stopped.
