A prototype of the LaFerrari successor has been spotted in Maranello once again. However, this time, the camouflaged test mule was seen sporting its pre-production bodywork, revealing several design details.

Looking at the latest spy images, it appears that the LaFerrari successor (codenamed: F250) will feature a classic mid-engined layout with wide fenders and a narrow, teardrop-shaped canopy. The front fascia reminds us of the SF90 XX Stradale. There’s a low and aggressive splitter with massive cooling vents for the radiators on either side. The central section appears to serve as an inlet for the S-duct.

Moving to the side, the door panels have a massive undercut similar to Ferrari’s latest Formula 1 car. This setup enables the air to pass through the wheel arches and along the sides, while the large floor section guides it into a duct just ahead of the rear wheels. Whether this air is fed to the diffuser or used to cool the engine remains to be seen.

Speaking of the diffuser, it’s quite a substantial aero feature on the car. There’s a central exhaust flanked by horizontal LED taillights. The air passing over the cabin is also vented through a channel just above the exhaust. The rear spoiler may have an active component, but it’s difficult to confirm from these images.

Ferrari’s new flagship hypercar is expected to use a hybrid powertrain. However, it won’t be a V12. Instead, the F250 is likely to be powered by a smaller twin-turbo unit.

The Ferrari F250 is expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2024 and will be produced in limited numbers.
