Latest Leeds transfer news: Target wants out; Euro giants after Summerville
Football FanCast brings you the latest Leeds United transfer round-up.
Daniel Farke is preparing his side for another season in the Championship after suffering heartbreak in the play-off final. The Whites are already feeling the cost of losing out to Southampton in late May, with Archie Gray departing for big money as Leeds agreed a £30m deal with Tottenham Hotspur.
But what are the current rumours? Find all the latest Leeds transfer talk here as they seek to bolster their ranks ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
Oliver Skipp: Leeds are still holding out hope to bring in Oliver Skipp this summer, despite the midfielder's apparent reluctance to drop down a division. GiveMeSport is reporting that the Whites would like to reunite Skipp with Farke, his former manager at Norwich City, having just brought in teammate Joe Rodon on a permanent deal.
However, Skipp's reticence to a move plus his homegrown status at Spurs appear to be significant stumbling blocks.
Jordan Torunarigha: The Gent defender, who has been linked with Leeds for months, has claimed that he is open to leaving this summer for the right club. Previous reports had claimed that Leeds were keen to bring the centre-back to Elland Road immediately, even though he could be available for free next year.
Crysencio Summerville: Dutch media are reporting that Crysencio Summerville could be on his way out of the club as Leeds continue raise funds following their failure to secure promotion.
Paris Saint-Germain are named as the latest suitors for the Dutchman, with the French giants thought to be in talks with the attacker over a potential move in the coming weeks.
Junior Firpo: According to the Daily Mail, Leeds are "expected" to part ways with Junior Firpo this summer. The report does not elaborate too much on this claim, but the former Barcelona defender has been linked away earlier in the summer.
Another of his previous clubs, Real Betis, were thought to be interested in a deal before reportedly being put off by his price tag. Whether circumstances have changed in light of Leeds' confirmed second-tier status remains to be seen.
Charlie Cresswell: After failing to agree personal terms, Charlie Cresswell's move to French side Toulouse has broken down. Cresswell, who had fallen out of favour with Farke last season, had looked set to move for just under £4m, but remains a Leeds player for the time being.
Illan Meslier: Leeds' No 1 goalkeeper is thought to be eyeing a move away, and has been in contact with Marseille over a potential summer switch. The Frenchman is thought to be "enthusiastic" over a move to the Ligue 1 outfit, and despite having a hefty release clause, a deal could be negotiated between the two clubs.
Joe Rodon remains Leeds' only arrival this summer, though they have made plenty of profit so far, especially if you factor in Luis Sinisterra's permanent move to Bournemouth, which was completed after the end of the January window. Jack Harrison's loan switch to Everton will free up considerable wages, while there is still hope for the future as Darko Gyabi has been handed another loan stint at Plymouth Argyle.
