Athletics: Uganda Names Team for 2024 Olympics

Jacob Kiplimo will lead Uganda's hunt for medals.

The Uganda Athletics Federation (UAF) has released a team of 20 athletes poised to take part in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.

The Olympic Games will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024, when Paris will become the world of sport, and so much more.

Jacob Kiplimo will lead the team, which also has two on standby. The list was released based on those selected after meeting the qualification standards.

Oscar Chelimo, Victor Kiplangat, and Joshua Cheptegei are also part of Team Uganda’s athletic team. 

Besides athletics, Uganda will be represented in rowing, cycling, and swimming as the other sports disciplines.

The athletic events are scheduled to take place from August 1 to August 11, 2024.
