DAMATURU – The Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria Mr. Hidayet Bayraktar said Turkey is prepared to partner with the Yobe state government on agriculture to explore the vast arable lands and other agricultural potentials in the state.

He stated this today when he paid a courtesy visit to Governor Mai Mala Buni.

Mr. Bayraktar said Turkey is willing to provide machines and other technical support to the state while the state government is to provide the required lands for the scheme.

The Ambassador commended the state government for its commitment to change the face of agriculture in the state.

Responding, Governor Buni said the scheme would provide employment opportunities to youths in the state.

“The state is focusing on a massive agricultural revolution, and this collaboration would support us to engage our youth.

“The government is committed to improving agriculture to enhance food sufficiency and food security,” Gov. Buni said.

He assured the commitment of the state government to meet its obligations of the partnership with the Turkish government.

“We would follow it to the letter for the benefit of our state and people,” Governor Buni assured.
