A new variant is coming to town!
onThe MCU is getting yet another Merc with a Mouth! New promo art for Deadpool and Wolverine confirms a variant of the hero previously seen in set photos.
Toward the tail end of the filming of Deadpool and Wolverine, fans saw what appeared to be a long haired version of the Merc with a Mouth conversing with the two lead heroes. Yet as more advertisements and merch for the MCU project came out, the variant was nowhere to be seen. That is, until the most recent piece of promo art for the film’s collaboration with the mobile game Marvel Snap, revealing the character alongside Dogpool and Cassandra Nova.

This variant has gone by a lot of names on the internet, including Sexy Deadpool and Samurai Deadpool. While this promo art still doesn’t reveal what the character will go by in the MCU, his pose seems to suggest that he’ll be a Casanova of some sort. Meaning he likely won’t be breaking as many skulls in Deadpool and Wolverine as he does hearts!
The Many Variants Of Deadpool And Wolverine
Sexy Samurai Deadpool isn’t the only new variant coming to the MCU in Deadpool and Wolverine. Additional promo art has confirmed that Wade Wilson will be assembling his own version of the Deadpool Corps. However, its most iconic member, Lady Deadpool, seems to be striking out on her own if the latest trailer is any indication.
There’s more than just variants of one hero in Deadpool and Wolverine. Rumors have long stated that the film will bring Dafne Keen’s X-23 in the MCU proper. Along with that, many believe the film’s first trailer reveals the Wolverine variant known as Patch. However, there’s been no official word on who may be playing the character.
