The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been lauded on the recent inauguration of Boards of Governing Councils of all federal universities, Polytechnics and other tertiary institutions by Hon. Umar Ibrahim Haure, the immediate past Chairman of Chibok Local Government Area under the administration of Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum.
Haure stated that the inauguration of the boards of the governing councils shows the steadfast commitment of the APC-led administration towards moving the tertiary education sector to greater heights for the benefit of the teeming youth population of the nation.
A visibly elated Hon Umar Haure also expressed confidence in the capacity and capability of the Tinubu administration to deliver crucial dividends of democracy to the Nigerian people against all odds, obstacles or challenges.
The erstwhile Chibok LG boss posited this in an interactive session with newsmen at the official inauguration of the boards of the governing councils held at the National Universities Commission premises on 2nd July 2024.
Hon Umar Haure was present at the august occasion to felicitate with his friend, brother and political associate, Hon Bana Lawal Chibok on his auspicious appointment as a distinguished member of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Oturkpo, Benue state.
According to Hon Umar Haure: “President Ahmed Bola Tinubu should be roundly commended for this historic inauguration of the Governing Councils of Federal Universities, Polytechnics and other Tertiary lnstitutions which will no doubt propel our dear nation’s education sector to the next level thus raising the academic and intellectual standards of our teeming youths to optimal levels which will further boost the overall socio-economic, infrastructural and technological development of our beloved nation.
“We are grateful to Mr President for standing firm in ensuring that democracy is sustained in Nigeria and today we hail him because he has the whole of the country at heart by inaugurating the boards of governing councils of federal tertiary educational institutions across the nation. Hon Umar Haure also advised Hon Bana Chibok, to be steadfast and dedicated to his new assignment as a Governing Council Member: “l know my dear friend, brother and associate very well and l have no doubt that he will prove his mettle in his latest appointment in such a manner that will justify the trust and confidence reposed in him by this administration to the letter.
“Hon Bana Lawal Chibok is loyal, committed, competent, tolerant and an astute team player to the core.
“He will bring to his new job, his vast experience and rich store of knowledge which will no doubt prove invaluable to the Federal University of Health Sciences, Oturkpo, Benue state.
