Their month-long honeymoon in California marked the beginning of a lifelong adventure together. After 57 years in a charming home along Old Philadelphia Pike, they decided to make Willow Valley Communities their new abode. Cal dedicated his professional life to the High Companies, holding various roles, and pursuing his passion for vintage cars. Janet, on the other hand, shared her musical talent by teaching piano lessons, being a church organist, and mastering the game of golf. The couple cherishes their winters in Longboat Key, Florida, creating unforgettable memories.
A Love and Family Legacy Cal and Janet's union blessed them with three children - Richard High (Marcy), Linda Bomberger (John), and Cheri High Beckford (Nigel). Their love story continued to flourish with the addition of seven grandchildren - Laura Bomberger, David High (Laura), Kristen Richards (Jon Mike), Mary Sheir (Adam), Sean Beckford, Ciaran Beckford, and Adrian Beckford; as well as seven great-grandchildren - Holden, Graham, and Atlee High, Luke and Bennett Richards, and James and Joshua Sheir.
A Lifetime of Cherished Moments Recently, the couple celebrated their incredible 70th wedding anniversary on June 19, 2024, surrounded by loved ones at a heartfelt dinner held at Neffsville Mennonite Church, a place of great importance to them. Calvin and Janet's story epitomizes enduring love, strong family bonds, and cherished memories, showcasing the lasting power of true love over the years.
