North Ridgeville's Liberty Elementary hires new assistant principal, Jennifer Pinzone

NORTH RIDGEVILLE – At the July 2, 2024 North Ridgeville City Schools Board of Education meeting, Jennifer Pinzone was approved to become the next assistant principal at Liberty Elementary. Pinzone replaces Brianne Puleo, who was promoted and named principal at Liberty Elementary last month.

Most recently, Pinzone was a literacy coach at Keystone Local Schools through the Lorain County Educational Services Center. Prior to that role, she worked as a kindergarten teacher in Olmsted Falls, a kindergarten and first grade teacher in Cuyahoga Heights, and a pre-school teacher. She earned her Bachelors in Early Childhood Education from Ohio University in 2001 and her Masters in Educational Administration from John Carroll University in 2006. She is a graduate of Midview High School.

“Jennifer will be an exceptional addition to our team at Liberty,” Puleo said. “Her extensive knowledge and experience in literacy will be an invaluable asset to our students. I’m excited to have this opportunity to collaborate with Jennifer this upcoming school year.”

Pinzone was at the Board of Education meeting and addressed the board, district, administration and the public about this new role. She said that the values of the school district align well with her goals as an educator and said she’s excited to begin this next chapter.

“I look forward to collaborating with Brianne and bringing a new energy to our first and second graders at Liberty Elementary,” Pinzone said. “It’s always been a dream of mine to be an administrator, and I feel that I gave so much as a teacher that I wanted to cast a wider net and help the other educators in making a positive impact on our students.

“I want to support our staff through this journey, and support Brianne and her efforts to further our connection in the community and with our student families,” she added. “It’s a role that wears many hats, and I really want to hone in on the positive.”

The school district will begin a new curriculum in the upcoming school year, with new guidelines from the Ohio Department of Education that focuses heavily on literacy programs.

Pinzone has three children with husband Santel, and the family currently resides in Columbia Station. She said the family enjoys participating in various athletics, while she personally enjoys swimming and gardening.
