The Nigerian duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho are in a celebratory mood after their club, Leicester City, secured an immediate return to the Premier League.

The Foxes, who were relegated to the Championship at the end of the 2022/23 season, are now guaranteed a spot in the top flight for the 2024/25 campaign, even without kicking a ball.

This remarkable turn of events was triggered by QPR's shock 4-0 victory over promotion-chasing Leeds United on Friday night, which effectively sealed Leicester's return to the Premier League.

Ecstatic with the news, Leicester City took to their official social media accounts to express their delight, posting: "Straight back up, Leicester City, That promotion feeling! WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE! Print it on a t-shirt!"

Ndidi and Iheanacho, who have been instrumental in Leicester's push for promotion, will expectedly join in the celebrations.
