NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. —

A man was stabbed to death in New Kensington Friday night.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. at a home on the 600 block of Freeport Road near the intersection with Edgewood Road. The Westmoreland County coroner was called to the scene.

County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli said in a statement Saturday morning that Nico Lee Harris, 40, of New Kensington, was charged in the stabbing of his former roommate, David Risher.

Risher had been reported missing by a relative. Harris had lived with Risher and another roommate on Freeport Road until September.

Ziccarelli did not indicate what events might have led up to this stabbing.

Harris was arraigned and is being held in the Westmoreland County Prison without bail. He has been charged with criminal homicide, burglary and criminal trespassing.
