NPFL: Rangers Youngster Signs Professional Contract

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, Rangers International, have committed one of their youngsters Chimobi Igwilo a professional contract.

Igwilo signed a three-year contract that will see him stay at the Cathedral until 2027.

He is expected to add to the attacking pool of Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side when the champions begin their title defence next season.

The excited youngster is ready for the new challenge and describes it as “a dream come true.”

“It is a dream come true for me as I have been dreaming of putting on the jersey of the great club, Rangers International. I am humbled by this decision to hand me a contract and I hope to give my best in every situation to ensure that we succeed as a team,” stated the youth sensation.

General manager/CEO of Rangers, Amobi Ezeaku, said Igwilo has a lot to offer and regards him as a special talent.

“Igwilo is a special talent and management is happy to have him put pen to paper for us to showcase his talent to the world. He has a lot that will be thrilling to behold when the new season commences,” Ezeaku said.

Igwilo finished as the best player at the NPFL Youth League in the Enugu and one of the highlights of his performance at the youth league was scoring a hat-trick against rivals, Enyimba.
