Kylian Mbappe was unavoidably left behind by the Paris Saint-Germain team bus following the narrow Champions League semi-final first-leg defeat to German side Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night.

Niclas Fullkrug scored what proved to be the decider at Signal Iduna Park as the German side drew first blood meanwhile the French superstar was unable to help Paris Saint-Germain pick up a result in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.

The 25-year-old did hit the post in the second half but cut a frustrated figure throughout the game, it means PSG will now have to come from behind in the second leg like they had to do in the quarter-final against Barcelona to progress through to the final at Wembley.

Following the full-time whistle, the French international was forced to undergo an Anti-Doping test.

In line with the Union of European Football Association’s protocol, he had to wait for the mandatory test to be completed and was forced to travel in a private car to meet up with his teammates at the airport as reported by the Le Parisien

PSG are still in it going into next week’s second leg at the Parc des Princes, with Mbappe well capable of coming up clutch like he did against Barcelona.

Set to leave PSG for Champions League royalty Real Madrid, the 25-year-old has extra incentive to prove he can be decisive in Europe.
