A FLORIDA dentist who bragged about enjoying violence faces up to 15 years in prison for threatening more than 40 victims with disturbing messages.

Richard Glenn Kantwill, 60, of Tampa, has been hit with charges after he allegedly harrassed nearly two dozen victims between August 2019 and July 2020, court docs reveal.

Kantwill, who was arrested earlier this week, sent around 100 threats through email, social media, and text messages, threatening injuries and death to victims.

The threats were often politically charged and in one instance, caused a victim to spend thousands on security cameras, the DOJ said.

He also sent threats to politicians, celebrities, authors, and more, according to court documents, viewed by The U.S. Sun.

“F**k you and yours. Hire extra security […] you’re gonna need it,” Kantwill allegedly told a victim who he disagreed with on Donald Trump.

“I plan on f*****g you up […] just for the fun of it.”

In the same message, he allegedly went on to call the victim a “degenerated piece of s**t.”

In a separate incident, he threatened to kill several victims, including one who he called an “anti-Christian piece of s**t.”

“Torture first, then death,” he wrote, according to the DOJ.

The victim allegedly bought $4,500 worth of security cameras afterward, prosecutors said.

He told another victim he “cannot wait to shoot your ghetto a** in the street.”

Federal agents first talked to Kantwill in October 2019 after someone complained about his messages, according to court documents viewed by The U.S. Sun.

He was warned to stop sending the messages, but the dentist – who suffers from PTSD, depression, and alcoholism – did not.

“Despite the FBI’s warning, Kantwill spent the next ten months sending threats to over 40 victims via social media and email,” prosecutors said in a pre-trial motion for detention.

Prosecutors allege the dentist “repeatedly sent threatening messages to people across the country who didn’t maintain the same beliefs as he did.”

“The numerous messages Kantwill sent to various people threatening injury and death, his disdain for law and order expressed in many of his messages, his bragging about his firearms collection that he will never surrender, his expressed desire to buy illegal firearms, and his continued pattern of making threats, all show Kantwill poses a danger to the community if released,” prosecutors said.

In July 2021, FBI agents requested to meet with the Iraq veteran again.

The Floridian denied speaking with agents and said he wasn’t doing anything illegal and said his actions were justified.

“He blamed the Government, minorities, and other entities for being the reason he had been speaking out,” prosecutors said.

Kantwill has been allocated a public defender and his defense is advocating for pre-trial release, stating that prosecutors have not proven that the dentist ever planned on executing his threats.

“The Government presented no evidence that Dr. Kantwill is a danger to anyone,” court filings read.

“While the Government proffered that Dr. Kantwill made online threats, it presented nothing to suggest that Dr. Kantwill would ever act on these threats.”

Kantwill went against his counsel’s advice and “spontaneously told the Court” that his statements were “empty threats,” his public defender Samuel Landes said, according to The Raleigh News & Observer.

Kantwill did test positive for marijuana during a pretrial test, according to court documents.

The 60-year-old – who received an “other than honorable” discharge from the military – does not have any prior criminal history, but Judge Thomas Wilson denied their pleas for his release.

“I’m not going to have somebody killed on my watch. I’m not changing my position. He will be detained,” the judge said, according to WFLA.
