One such significant change has been in the character of Tapu, originally played by Bhavya Gandhi, succeeded by Raj Anadkat, and now actor Nitish Bhaluni is stepping into the shoes of Tapu. Who is playing Tapu in TMKOC?

After Bhavya Gandhi and Raj Anadkat, actor Nitish Bhaluni will be seen essaying the role of Tapu on popular sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC). When Bhavya Gandi took up the role in 2008 as the original Tapu, he quickly became one of the highest-paid actors in Indian television. Reportedly, he was paid Rs 10,000 per episode. In 2017, he decided to quit the show.

The next Tapu was Raj Anadkat, who took over the role of Tapu. Reportedly, he was paid Rs 20,000 per episode, double of what Bhavya Gandhi was paid. He continued to entertain as Tapu till 2022. In 2023, Nitish Bhaluni stepped into the shoes of Tapu. According to the reports, Nitish is also paid Rs 20,000 per episode, same as Raj Anadkat.
