Jamilu Mohammed, an economic and security analyst has raised concerns about claims by individuals who reported that they have seen helicopters delivering supplies to Boko Haram
In an interview with Daily Trust TV which was shared on YouTube, Jamilu urged for thorough investigation into such reports rather than dismissing them as conspiracy theories. He emphasized the importance of either proving of disproving such claims to address the underlying issues effectively
Jamilu also stated that the Boko Haram insurgency is partly fueled by socioeconomic factors, particularly issues related to mineral mining, which contributes to it's continuation and intensity.
In Jamilu's words: "We have had people report that they have seen helicopters coming to drop XYZ for [Boko Haram]. Have we investigated and said these are conspiracy theorist and we have debunked them, they don't exist? If they remain hypothesis, you have to prove them or debunk them".
