President Bola Tinubu has emphasized the significant strides made by the security forces in tackling the issue of insecurity in the North-West region of Nigeria.
At the North-West Peace and Security Summit organized by the North-West Governors’ Forum in Katsina, he commended the successful efforts in disrupting and dismantling criminal networks.
According to a report by Channels Television, the President's remarks, conveyed by Vice President Kashim Shettima, reassured the populace that these actions are just the initial phase of a comprehensive strategy to bolster security nationwide.
Tinubu highlighted that military operations such as Operation Hadin Kai and Operation Safe Haven have been effective in targeting and weakening groups like Boko Haram and various bandit factions.
These operations, supported by enhanced border security and intelligence capabilities, have resulted in the elimination of key individuals within these criminal groups.
The President stressed that these accomplishments signify the commencement of a more intense campaign to secure all regions of the nation, with a steadfast commitment to establishing a safer environment for all Nigerian citizens.
