Nigerians Will Yearn For Buhari When He Leaves- Garba

Barely two months to the end of the second term of the present administration, the presidency is convinced that like Jonathan, Nigerians will yearn for President Muhammadu Buhari when he leaves office.
In an interview with Channels Television, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on media and publicity, Mr Garba Shehu lamented over the level of criticisms thrown at the president, asserting that leaders are not loved while in office. Citing the case of Goodluck Jonathan who he says was persecuted out of office, but has now become the favorite of many Nigerians, Mr Shehu was of the opinion that this same yearning will happen after Buhari has handed over to the next president.
Harris Ignores Nigeria In Week-Long Trip To Africa

Kamala Harris, the US Vice President, has kicked off her week-long trip to some countries in Africa as the country seeks to improve its relationship with the continent.
SaharaReporters earlier reported that Harris shunned Nigeria when she announced the countries she would be visiting during her trip to Africa.
In Accra, Ghana on Monday, she will announce a $139 million aid package for the West African country for 2024 as she meets President Nana Akufo-Addo.

Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi has “quietly” met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Obi met with Obasanjo at the Anambra airport yesterday.
During the meeting, the LP flag bearer exchanged views with Obasanjo on the state of the nation.

The Abia State House of Assembly, ABSHA and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP have denied any plans to impeach the state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu.
Late week, there were strong allegations that the Abia State House of Assembly, ABSHA had concluded plans to impeach Ikpeazu.
Addressing the press after meeting with Governor Okezie Ikpeazu at the Governor’s Lodge, Aba weekend, members of the State House of Assembly led by the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu dismissed the allegation as a rumour.
