Several deals have been confirmed, with clubs strengthening their squads for the upcoming season. Here are five major deals that were announced recently

Arsenal have completed the permanent signing of Brentford goalkeeper David Raya on a long-term deal. The Gunners have paid £27 million for the Spain international, in addition to the £3 million loan fee paid to Brentford last season.

Raya made an immediate impact, winning the Premier League Golden Glove in his debut campaign with Arsenal, keeping 16 clean sheets in the league and 20 in total across 41 appearances. The 28-year-old played a crucial role in helping Arsenal secure a runners-up finish in the Premier League and a run to the Champions League quarter-finals.

Tanguy Ndombélé has signed with OGC Nice as a free agent. The French midfielder, who was Tottenham Hotspur's record signing after a £63 million move from Lyon in 2019, struggled to make a lasting impact in London. With just 91 appearances for the Spurs, Ndombélé spent loan spells at Napoli and Galatasaray. Now 27, he returns to France, aiming to rejuvenate his career at the Allianz Riviera Stadium.

Ethan Mbappé, the younger brother of Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappé, has joined Lille on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain. The 17-year-old midfielder was expected to leave PSG following his brother's move to Real Madrid.

Lille, seen as the favorites to sign Ethan, have now confirmed the deal. At Lille, Ethan hopes to step out of his elder brother's shadow and make a name for himself in Ligue 1.

Sheffield Wednesday have secured Brighton goalkeeper James Beadle on a season-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old ended last season on loan with the Owls, keeping eight clean sheets in 19 appearances, helping them avoid relegation to League One. Beadle had begun the previous season on loan with Oxford United in League One, where he made 25 appearances.

Lyon have completed the signing of defender Moussa Niakhate from Nottingham Forest in a £27 million deal. The Senegal international has signed a four-year contract with the French club.

The 28-year-old leaves Forest after two seasons, having joined from Mainz in July 2022. Niakhate is Lyon's third summer signing from the Premier League, following the arrivals of Orel Mangala from Forest for £20 million and Said Benrahma from West Ham for £12.3 million.
