Ex-Imo Governor Okorocha's House Collapses In Abuja

A five-storey building owned by the former governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has collapsed along Ahmadu Bello Way in Abuja.

The building, according to the report, collapsed around 9:pm yesterday sending panic to the entire neighbourhood.

In a swift reaction, personnel of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command immediately cordoned off the entire area.

DJ Cuppy Endorses LP

British-Nigerian disk jokey, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has endorsed the Labour Party ahead of Thursday’s general election in the United Kingdom.

The music star explained that she endorsed the opposition against the ruling Conservative Party because “sometimes a change is necessary.”

She urged her UK fans to vote for the Labour Party on Thursday, stressing that votes “actually matter” in the UK.

The youth of Ibeku ancient kingdom in Umuahia, Abia State, have expressed their support for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The youths drew parallels between their kinsman, Kanu, and the reverred late South African leader, Nelson Mandela, who "stood for truth, equity, and justice."

In a letter addressed to President Bola Tinubu, after an emergency meeting on Tuesday evening at their national secretariat in Isieke Ibeku, the youths expressed regret over what they described as a misunderstanding of Kanu's pursuit of fairness and equality for all Nigerians.

Downpour Causes Flood In Lagos Community

A heavy downpour on Wednesday has left the Iyana-Oworo, Olopo Meji area leading to the 3rd Mainland Bridge underwater.

The flood rendered the road almost impassable causing gridlock and discomfort for commuters.

An X user who tweets anonymously as #JayNaijaTv shared a video of the flooded area with the caption, “Iyana-Oworo, Olopo meji area heading to 3rd Mainland Bridge this morning is completely flooded, causing long traffic that extends to Alapere.”
