Reactions have trailed the Internet following Phil Foden's two goals in the first half of Manchester City's game against Brighton tonight as the midfielder has now scored more goals for Man City than Eric Cantona did for Manchester United.
Manchester City made a brilliant start to the game as they dominated and created several chances. Kevin De Bruyne scored the opening goal from Kyle Walker's assist then Phil Foden doubled the lead from a free-kick. Phil Foden scored again to make the score 3-0 before halftime.
Manchester City's first-half performance shows that they are not backing down in the title race and they are ready to fight to the end. Pep Guardiola will be expecting more from his men in the second half.
However, fans have reacted following the record that Phil Foden broke in the first half as he now surpassed the goals that football legend Eric Cantona scored for Manchester United. Foden now has 84 goals for Manchester City while Cantona had 82 goals for Manchester United.
