According to punch news, Governor Nyesom Wike's recent commissioning of a bus stop and motor park in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has sparked outrage and criticism from various quarters. The project, which was executed at a time when the state is facing serious economic challenges, has been described as a misplacement of priorities.

"Governor Wike's commissioning of a bus stop and motor park in the FCT is a slap on the face of Nigerians," said High Chief Peter Ameh, former Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC). "It's a clear indication that the governor is out of touch with the realities of the economy and the needs of the people."

Ameh's reaction is coming on the heels of the revelation that the governor received 1.2 trillion Naira to fix roads in FCT and an additional 93 billion Naira from the supplementary budget to complete ongoing projects. "It's unacceptable that Governor Wike would prioritize the commissioning of a bus stop and motor park over more pressing projects that would benefit the people of the state," Ameh added.

"This is a clear case of mismanagement of resources and a lack of accountability."
