In a recent sermon titled "7 Keys to Unlock Your Miracles" delivered during the Miracle Service at Salvation Ministries - Home of Success on July 7, 2024, Pastor David Ibiyeomie shared a compelling account of resilience and faith in the face of opposition.

Highlighting the seventh key, "Be Persistent," Pastor Ibiyeomie recounted a challenging period when the church faced significant opposition from its neighbors.

According to Pastor Ibiyeomie, a group of neighbors at the church's headquarters began a campaign to have the church vacate the premises, claiming it was a disturbance to the Government Reserved Area (GRA).

They gathered signatures from house to house and presented their case to the Governor. However, the Governor's response was unexpected and supportive: “Are you not happy that the church is there?”

Pastor Ibiyeomie revealed that despite the collective efforts of some military officers and civilians to remove the church, divine intervention played a pivotal role.

He mentioned that they prayed fervently, and within a week, those who spearheaded the opposition faced transfers and evictions. This turn of events underscored his message that persistence in the face of adversity eventually leads to triumph.

Drawing parallels with the biblical story of Isaac, who persistently dug wells despite repeated opposition, Pastor Ibiyeomie emphasized that miracles are reserved for those who refuse to give up.

He encouraged his congregation to remain steadfast, citing their own experience with the Hand of God Cathedral. The Cathedral, now a landmark and potential tourist attraction in Port Harcourt, stands as a testament to their perseverance.

Pastor Ibiyeomie concluded by urging the faithful to view opposition as a sign of impending miracles. He stated that significant resistance often indicates a greater reward, and those who seek miracles must not be easily deterred.
