MUN vs ARS Combined Starting XI Ahead Of The EPL Clash.

opera.com 2024/5/20

Manchester United hosts Arsenal at the famous Old Trafford Stadium on Sunday evening. The game is expected to be a title decider between City and Arsenal as the season comes to an end. The Gunners are keen on beating the Red Devil to boost their hope of winning their first Premier League title since 2004, but that won't be an easy hill to climb.

One of the reasons why the game will be a difficult task for Arsenal is the return of some key United players. The Old Trafford team received a much-needed boost ahead of their crucial game as Lisandro Martinez and Marcus Rashford returned to first-team training. Martinez, who has been sidelined since the Brentford match due to various injuries, has made only 11 appearances this season.

Arsenal football club under Mikel Arteta has been very good all season, picking up 87 points so far in the league and also grabbing the best defensive setup in the league. This means that it could be nearly impossible for Manchester United to score against them because of their latest form.

As the date of the game approaches with great pace, we've decided to make a combined starting lineup of both teams to see which team has the better players this season.

Manchester United vs. Arsenal combined XI: Raya won the golden glove with 15 cleansheets this season, with two games still remaining for the season to end. Ben White plays ahead of Wan Bissaka, while Tomiyasu also starts ahead of Dalot in the left back position. Although Lisandro could have easily been named alongside Gabriel, injuries hampered his season.

Declan Rice, Bruno Fernandes, Odegaard are expected to control the midfield. Some fans may argue the decision to put Fernandes ahead of Partey, Jorginho, or Havertz, but Fernandes is undoubtedly the second best midfielder in the Premier League behind Kevin De Bruyne.

Gernacho starts ahead of Martinelli and Trossard on the left wing, while Havertz and Saka occupy the remaining attacking positions.

David Raya, Ben White, Saliba, Gabriel, Tomiyasu, Declan Rice, Bruno Fernandes, Odegaard, Gernacho, Havertz, Saka.
