Timileyin Ajayi, a gospel singer, has admitted to the gruesome murder of Salome Adaidu, a youth corps member, in a case that has shocked the nation.
As per AIT, Ajayi confessed to committing the crime after Salome refused to engage in a sexual act with him. He disclosed that he forced himself on her before killing and dismembering her body. He also revealed plans to transport her severed head to what he described as an important location.
The incident came to light in Nasarawa State when a commercial motorbike rider noticed blood dripping from Ajayi’s bag. The alarm raised by the rider led to Ajayi being apprehended by the police, rescuing him from an angry mob intent on delivering instant justice.
Salome Adaidu, a vibrant and promising young woman, was known for her kindness and dedication to service. Her tragic death has left her family and community in deep grief, with calls for justice resonating across the country.
Authorities have assured the public of a thorough investigation into the case and have promised to ensure Ajayi faces the full extent of the law.
