Chidi Lloyd, the embattled chairman of Emohua local government area, has spoken about events that took place after the peace resolution brokered by President Tinubu to address the political conflict in Rivers State.

In a video recently shared by Channels TV, Lloyd said after the meeting with President Tinubu, who proposed an eight-point solution to the crisis, Governor Siminalayi Fubara addressed the state and emphasized that achieving peace was paramount and that the proposed solutions were not a death sentence. He said despite this hopeful message, the Rivers State government started backing individuals to take various legal actions against the eight-point solution.

In Lloyd's words: "After we met with President Tinubu and we all got back to the state, Governor Fubara held a statewide broadcast where he told the state that nothing was too much for peace. Fubara said the 8 items solution that were proffered to the problems in the state by Tinubu was not a death sentence. Then all of a sudden, we now find the government of Rivers State begin to sponsor people to approach the court in different ways".
