Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, planted seven varieties of vegetables in her garden on Saturday, July 6, 2024, as part of an effort to promote sustainable agriculture and encourage people to grow their own food. In a post on her verified X profile, Mrs. Tinubu showcased her garden and mentioned that she personally watered it on Saturday morning. In the garden, she claims to have grown seven varieties of vegetables. But she kept mum about which seven veggies she planted.

Additionally, she mentioned that her intention was to encourage people to eat healthier. Additionally, she urged all Nigerian women to take part in farming and food production through her initiative. The Renewed Hope Initiative's (RHI) Every Home a Garden competition, she explained, is more than simply a contest; it's an effort to encourage healthy eating and cultivate a love of farming among the general public, beginning in the home.

I watered my plants and attended to my garden earlier today. I have sown seven distinct varieties of veggies. "I would like to encourage all Nigerian women to join the Every Home A Garden competition and get involved in farming and food production." You may remember that not long ago, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, wife of the governor of Ekiti State, also showcased her vegetable garden that she had established within the government house.
