Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has announced the dates for the highly anticipated 2024 FKF Premier League/FKF National Super League promotion/relegation playoff between Naivas and Sofapaka.
The first leg of the playoff will take place at the Police Sacco Stadium on Saturday, July 6, 2024.
The second leg will follow at Dandora Stadium on Sunday, July 14, 2024.
Both matches will be contested over 90 minutes, with the aggregate score determining which team secures a spot in the 2024/25 FKF Premier League.
In the event of a tie after regular time in the second leg, the team with the higher number of away goals will advance.
If the aggregate score and away goals are equal, the playoff will proceed to a penalty shootout to decide the winner.
Naivas, aiming for their first-ever promotion to the top-tier league, finished third in the 2023/24 FKF National Super League with an impressive tally of 76 points.
Meanwhile, Sofapaka, battling to avoid relegation, ended 16th in the 2023/24 FKF Premier League season with 36 points.
