A former lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has sparked a flurry of reactions from Nigerians with a post in which he suggested what former United Kingdom (UK) Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, should do following his loss in that country’s latest election.

Sunak lost his reelection bid to the candidate of the Labour Party, Keir Starmer, in a hitch-free election. Following the loss, he resigned his position as Prime Minister.

However, Senator Sani, in a post via his X (formerly Twitter) handle suggested that the former Prime Minister should go to court and get an injunction to inspect sensitive election materials.

In making the light-hearted suggestion, the former federal lawmaker was making an obvious reference to what happens ever so often in the Nigerian political space.

This prompted reactions from Nigerian tweeps, many of which were equally light-hearted.
