Police in Nairobi have arrested a suspected goon accused of stealing a printer from a shop located at Imenti House, marking a significant development amid the ongoing protests and unrest in the city.

The incident occurred earlier today when the suspect, identified as John Kamau, allegedly entered a shop in the bustling Imenti House area and stole a printer.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing Kamau hastily leaving the premises with the stolen device before being apprehended by security personnel and nearby shop owners.

"The man just grabbed the printer and ran out," said Peter Mwangi, a witness to the incident. "Luckily, some people nearby managed to catch him and held him until the police arrived."

Local authorities responded swiftly to the scene, arresting Kamau and recovering the stolen printer. The arrest comes at a time when Nairobi is witnessing heightened security measures due to the ongoing protests, which have at times resulted in incidents of theft and vandalism.

"We are grateful to the public for their vigilance and quick response," said Chief Inspector Jane Muthoni. "This arrest demonstrates our commitment to maintaining law and order in the midst of challenging circumstances."
