According to the Sun, Lawyer Kenneth Okonkwo, a notable figure in the Labour Party (LP), has emphasized in his article titled "EFCC versus Yahaya Bello and the misuse of ex-parte orders" that despite numerous ex-parte orders issued by the court, the former governor of Kogi state cannot evade legal responsibility.

Okonkwo argues that even with a thousand ex-parte orders, Yahaya Bello will eventually be prosecuted.

He suggests that the only scenarios where charges against Bello might not proceed are if he flees the country and becomes a fugitive or if the EFCC changes its position.

In a report by SUNDAY SUN, Okonkwo reaffirms his position, stressing that regardless of the quantity of ex-parte orders obtained, Yahaya Bello will have to face the legal process unless he chooses to escape justice by leaving the country or if there are alterations in the EFCC's stance.

In a piece called "EFCC versus Yahaya Bello and the misuse of ex-parte orders," Okonkwo argues that even with a thousand ex-parte orders, the ex-governor of Kogi state can't be prosecuted.

Okonkwo suggests that charges against Yahaya Bello will only happen if he leaves Nigeria and surrenders himself.

"If Yahaya like, let him get a 1000 ex-parte orders from the court, he will eventually be arraigned in court, unless he flees out of Nigeria and becomes an official fugitive, or unless the EFCC changes its mind," the reported statement reads.
