Six persons rushed to hospital as Range Rover rams into commercial motorcycle on Lagos highway
According to a statement by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Saturday , February 8, 2025, six persons were rushed to a hospital after the driver of a Range Rover reportedly lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a commercial motorcycle.
LASTMA announced the accident on its X handle on Saturday morning, saying it occurred at Coconut area inward Mile 2 along the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway in the state.
According to the traffic management agency, the driver of the vehicle lost control around 8:40 a.m. and rammed into the commercial motorcycle on the highway, injuring the rider and the two passengers he was carrying while there was also report that three persons in the vehicle got injured as a result of the impact of the accident.

As a result of the accident, the entire front part of the Range Rover suffered serious damage while the situation caused traffic bottleneck on the highway. The gridlock extended to TinCan First Gate.
It was gathered that officers from the Trinity Divisional Headquarters of the state police command as well as officials of LASTMA were at the scene of the accident maintaining law and order and controlling the attendant traffic situation.
In the video posted by LASTMA, many onlookers were seen making attempts to remove the motorcycle while some helped LASTMA officials to control traffic. Also one of those injured was seen being carried by the onlookers.
