The primary election revealed the PDP's commitment to reclaim the Alagbaka Government House in Akure - Chief Agboola Ajayi

According to the report from the Vanguard, The former gubernatorial candidate of the People's Democratic Party in Ondo State, Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, expressed confidence in the newly elected gubernatorial candidate of the party, Chief Agboola Ajayi, stating that Ajayi will emerge victorious in the upcoming November election and lead the state towards growth and development.

In a statement released in Akure, Jegede congratulated Ajayi on his success in the party's primary elections and called on Ajayi's fellow contestants to collaborate with him in the effort to rescue Ondo State.

Jegede's statement emphasized, "I congratulate H.E. Alfred Agboola Ajayi on his emergence as the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP in Ondo State for the forthcoming election. I also commend the PDP family for the successful conduct of the primary election."

He continued, "Undoubtedly, the outcome of the primary signifies the initiation of a significant effort to seize power from the APC-led government and steer Ondo State back on the path of progress and development."

Jegede urged all aspirants and contestants, particularly from the southern senatorial zone, to unite with the candidate and contribute towards the revitalization of the state.

Additionally, the Ondo State People's Democratic Party extended their congratulations to Ajayi on his candidacy for the governorship election. The party's publicity secretary, Kennedy Peretei, acknowledged all contestants for their sportsmanship and decorum during and after the primary election.

Peretei remarked, "The primary election revealed the PDP's commitment to reclaim the Alagbaka Government House in Akure. The past seven years under the APC government have brought immense hardship to the people, and it is time to remove purveyors of poverty and restore prosperity to our land."

The party lauded the Primary Election Committee, led by His Excellency Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, for conducting a transparent, free, and fair primary election. Peretei asserted that the absence of winners or losers demonstrated a victory for both the PDP and democracy in Ondo State.

Furthermore, Agboola Ajayi, through his spokesperson Samuel Ogunmusi, expressed gratitude to the delegates and declared that his victory belongs to all.
