Some youths of the political party of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has called for the rerun of the party's primaries as regards the gubernatorial election of Ondo State.
According to Punch, this was recently disclosed by Mr. Kolawole Johnson, the APC Youth leader for Akure South, while stressing that the election exercise was not properly conducted.
He said: " How can you claim to ratify the outcome of a primary and declare a candidate? It indicates foul play. Ondo is APC, and APC is Ondo State. We will not sit idly and allow opposition parties to seize Ondo from us. We urge the party to annul the primary election. There must be a rerun, and we demand a new person to lead the committee overseeing us ".
He added: " What occurred was not a primary election; it was the sale of APC ticket. We demand a rerun because we are dissatisfied with the process. We, therefore implore President Tinubu to intervene in this matter. We cannot allow the opposition to assume the control of Ondo State ".
