The Information and Communication Commissioner of Kogi State, Kingsley Fanwo, has issued a response to statements made by a prosecutor from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), suggesting the potential involvement of the military in transporting former governor Yahaya Bello to the Federal High Court in Abuja over allegations of money laundering amounting to 80 billion naira. Despite Governor Usman Ododo's intervention in Abuja, the EFCC failed to apprehend Bello.

Fanwo expressed his views in a recent YouTube video posted by Channels TV, arguing that deploying the military to the Kogi government residence would constitute mutiny and an attempted coup against the state government. He stressed that there was no evidence to support Bello's presence in the government residence and urged the EFCC to conduct thorough investigations before spreading such allegations.

In Fanwo's statement:"When they talk about military coming to Kogi government house that will amount to mutiny and that will amount to coup against the government of Kogi State. Who told them that the former governor is in Kogi government house? They need to do due diligence, that is why they are losing a lot of cases in the law court".
