Omotayo Adekolure has spoken about his sister, Glory Adekolure, a final-year student at the University of Benin who was killed in Benin, Edo State, on June 13, 2024.

In a recent report shared by Punch, Omotayo said Glory’s life was cut short just before she could see the results of her final exam. He said her friends revealed during her burial on June 29 that she had achieved a first-class degree.

Omotayo described Glory as a hardworking and dedicated individual. He said her family supported her education because of her determination and passion. He said at university, she balanced her studies with her work as a makeup artist, providing services for people attending big events and her classmates. He said her efforts paid off as she financed 40% of her education through her cosmetic jobs, buying her own makeup kits, phones, and textbooks with her earnings.

In Omotayo's words: "The result of the only exam she was waiting for before her death was just released and her friends told us during her burial on June 29 that my late sister had first class"
